Please note: this position receives a minimal stipend and requires a weekly time commitment. Our selection process includes a resume, background check, and series of interviews to ensure a good fit. Curriculum will be provided.
Work one-on-one with students to help craft solid business plans that cover marketing, financials, and strategy. Then continue this work by providing guidance during weekly classes. Design logos and presentations for student businesses -- a great way to use your skill set for a good cause and build your portfolio! Requires attendance for one in-class session.
Help girls get in the right frame of mind for the final Investor Panel event by serving as a mock judge who asks questions as well as challenges and encourages ideas.
Assist the Instructor and Program Manager in ensuring class runs smoothly by distributing and collecting papers, answering questions, and coordinating with our catering partner.
Manage our social media pages and increase our following by developing the YEA! Chicago brand along with our newsletter and photography volunteers.
Work with our social media and photography volunteer to craft content for our quarterly newsletter, including articles, interviews, and updates.
Use your DSLR camera to capture special moments that can be promoted on our marketing material, website, and social media. Work with our social media and newsletter volunteers to produce media content.
Review student business plans remotely within a specified time frame so girls receive feedback before presenting in front of our Investor Panel event.
Assist us by improving our website and keeping it up to date with timely, relevant, and engaging content. Bonus points for those with web development or coding experience!
Partner with us to spread the word of YEA! throughout the Chicagoland community. Perfect for those connected with middle and high school networks, such as teachers, athletic coaches, and troop and religious leaders.
Provide continued support for our students after they graduate from the program by serving as a mentor to those who are seeking advice about their business.
Assist in the setup, flow, and takedown of our major events, along with coordinating logistics and any needed day-of tasks.
Are you a local business leader ready to support incredible business concepts? Participate as a judge on our Investor Panel to hear girls pitch their ideas and help determine how to grant funds.
Help interview applicants and connect with parents to select girls with entrepreneurial drive for our incoming class.
Help conduct interviews to assess the maturity and enthusiasm of girls looking to be accepted into the program. Ask set questions, document answers, and provide your professional opinion.
Partner with us to help raise money for an incredible cause! Host a fundraising event to build awareness about our organization and show you care about investing in the community.
Host a field trip at your company or organization to expose our students to a variety of real businesses and give them a behind the scenes look.
